The painted hall is a true masterpiece, boasting one of the most spectacular baroque interiors in europe. The conservation work has allowed more than 80,000 visitors to witness this building at close quarters and created a significant new cultural destination within london. Back in 1705, what today we know as the old royal naval college, was in fact the royal hospital for seaman.
